Environmental Attentiveness

All companies within Tata Steel (Thailand) group emphasize on environmental management both in the organization, surrounding communities and other aspects also. As seen on the company policy on environment, our goal to maintain Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions  to less than 1.0 ton per ton of liquid steel by 2015 to participate in the global-warming campaign.

Apart from expressing the vision and having the clear environmental policy which will lead to the concrete environmental management, the company has also employed the internationally-recognized environmental management standard like ISO 14001 for the company. Also there has been the encouragement to employ the new technology to improve the machine and the process in order to achieve the sustainable development on environment eventually.

In addition, the company also set the environmental management and operation in 3 sections which are
(1) efficient national resources management,
(2) environmental conservation projects for the plants and surrounding communities and
(3) compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Details can be concluded as followed.
