The company aims to run the business with the safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors and other personnel who effect from our business.

We hope to be accepted and referenced as the leading company in safety environment; therefore we aim that the Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF) rate must not reach 0.4 within 2015.

Our aim is to prevent what could be happening rather than to solve what has The safety inspection has been regulated monthly in order to improve the working condition and environment. The personal safety equipments have been efficiently provided for both employees and contractors. When accidents happened, it must be reported, investigated, analyzed and prevented not to be happening again in the same act. Also the campaign and other activities that could alert the safety conscious for the employees must be raised such as the articles and posters publication about occupational health and safety, the conversational activities about safety, the KYT activities, the safety week exhibition and the aim to work with zero accident.

Environment And Sustainability Policy

The Company takes into consideration of impact resulted from decision of Company‘s operation covering resources consumption, plant location, pollution and waste, including an effect to the natural Habitat of plants and creatures. As a result, the wastewater has been treated and recycled for production process and other benefits such as tree watering, etc.

The company encourages the employees to recognize the importance of saving energy by emphasizing on their participation, in line with their functions, for instance, energy efficiency on office lighting. Different programs and media are developed regularly to raise awareness and to keep reminding on energy efficiency.

SCSC

The Siam Construction Steel Co., Ltd. (SCSC) a subsidiary of Tata Steel (Thailand) won the Prime Minister’s Industry Awards 2016 on Safety Management Category. The award is one of the major safety prizes in Thailand. On 26th July 2016, Mr. Rajiv Mangal, President & CEO at TSTH received the awards from General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Prime Minister of Thailand at Challenger 2, Muangthong Thani. Established since 1993, The Prime Minister Awards is a prestigious award for all entrepreneurs in Thailand. The Awards consists of the Prime Minister’s Best Industry Award and 7 categories of the industry awards. 120 companies applied for the awards in this year. 4 enterprises including SCSC won the awards for safety management. The selection for the Safety Management category is based on the 6 criteria as follows:
